Prague, 3 December 2022: Prague residents can find a new service of the Prague City Hall – Payment Gateway – on the Prague Citizen Portal from June via the solution of the system integrator Ness Czech. It allows to pay fees or fines by credit card. It saves people a trip to the authorities or the bank. The new MHMP service is based on Gordic’s GINIS economic system. Hundreds of citizens have already used the new service and paid over 100 thousand crowns in this way.
“The basic requirements were simplicity and safety. People can get to the payment page with a direct link via the Prague City Portal, where they fill in the variable symbol, verify the payment and pay the fee in the same way they are used to, for example, from e-shops,” explains Martin Silvička, CEO of Ness Czech, which implemented the project in cooperation with Gordic for the Prague City Hall. Česká spořitelna, Operátor ICT, Global Payments and Corpus Solutions also participated in the project.
Through the payment gateway, Prague residents can pay the fee for municipal waste disposal or fines and the costs of proceedings, with the municipality planning to gradually expand the offer.
“The project is an example of how local government can modernise services for its citizens and increase their convenience in communicating with authorities and paying fees. Thanks to the new possibilities of the GINIS economic system, a similar solution can easily be implemented in other cities within a few months,” adds Martin Silvička.
