Ness Czech navrhne řešení regulatorního reportingu pro Sberbank

Ness Czech Proposes Regulatory Reporting Solution for Sberbank

Prague, December 16, 2021Ness Czech, a leading Czech system integrator specializing in IT solutions for the financial sector, has been awarded the tender to design a new regulatory reporting solution for the Czech National Bank (CNB).

The decision to implement a new reporting system arose from limitations in Sberbank’s original solution, which struggled to keep pace with evolving regulatory requirements. The new solution will utilize the bank’s data warehouse as the primary source of all data, enabling streamlined and automated reporting processes.

A Flexible, Automated Reporting Solution

The new system is designed to simplify and automate the preparation of regulatory data. Key features include the ability to define CNB parameters without requiring code modifications, offering greater flexibility for business users and reducing IT costs.

“We expect the new system to significantly simplify the reporting process by automating data preparation and minimizing manual interventions,” said Ondřej Axmann, Vice President for the Financial Sector at Ness Czech. “Business users will be able to define CNB parameters directly, making the system more adaptable to future changes without incurring additional IT expenses.”

Addressing Key Reporting Challenges

One of the primary challenges of regulatory reporting lies in preparing detailed data sets that integrate individual account balances with client and contractual information. These datasets must then be processed to calculate CNB parameters, ensuring proper alignment with the relevant reports.

“The biggest challenge is the preparation of detailed datasets and calculating CNB parameters to determine where specific balances belong in the reporting structure,” explained Miroslav Andrle, Chief Solution Architect at Ness Czech. “Our approach separates the responsibilities of business and IT users, creating a clearer, more manageable process.”

The solution will enhance automation, transparency, and traceability throughout the entire reporting process—from data preparation and calculation to the final submission of reports. This level of automation and clarity is essential for Sberbank’s Accounting & Regulatory Reporting department, led by Kristina Vančurová, who emphasized the project’s strategic importance for the team.
