Big Data předpovědi pro rok 2021

Big Data: Predictions for 2021

While 2020 presented challenges for many industries, the technology sector saw significant progress. As we move through 2021, we can expect major shifts in how data is processed, stored, and handled. In a recent collaboration between Ness Digital Engineering and insideBIGDATA, Scott Schlesinger, Head of the Global Data Analytics Co-op, shared his insights on what’s to come this year.

Advanced Analytics and Self-Service

With the rise of distributed workforces and an increasing demand for accessible information, there will be a growing need for enhanced analytics and self-service capabilities. Traditional analytics will increasingly be disrupted by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The distributed workforce will drive the need for augmented analytics, enabling users to easily query and handle their data and get immediate answers to their questions.

Convergence of Analytics and AI

We foresee a convergence of analytics and AI in two key areas: at the infrastructure level and at the analyst level. More people are realizing that by using various tools, they are providing data for machine learning (ML), which creates a rich dataset. Instead of operating as two separate systems, we predict these processes will merge into a unified infrastructure that is easier to maintain, while ensuring consistency in data across both systems.

Another aspect of convergence is the “hunger” for information and the desire to bridge gaps in answering data-driven questions. Traditional analytics will start to be disrupted by AI, with platforms like Tableau and Power BI incorporating robots and virtual assistants capable of conducting conversations. This shift could further accelerate the development of a self-service approach to data analytics.
