Prague, October 26, 2022 – Ness Czech, a leading Czech system integrator and provider of ICT solutions, announces the appointment of Josef Švenda as Sales Director for the Financial Sector. An accomplished professional with extensive expertise in enterprise applications, Švenda brings a wealth of experience to his new role, gained over a distinguished career in senior leadership positions at major global technology companies.
A Proven Leader in Enterprise Applications
Švenda has held key roles at organizations such as Autodesk and Oracle. At Autodesk, he oversaw business operations in Southeastern and Eastern Europe. During his tenure at Oracle, he served as:
- Director of Oracle Czech Republic,
- Regional Director for Partner Sales, and
- Head of the Oracle Digital Headquarters in Prague.
In addition to his corporate experience, Švenda has contributed to various projects, including co-founding the bio-data startup Aiomica. His portfolio also includes roles at Operátor ICT, CompuGroup Medical, and SAP.
Focus on Digitalization in Finance
In his new position at Ness Czech, Švenda aims to explore opportunities brought about by digital transformation and evolving work practices in the financial sector.
“I want to focus on the new opportunities that digitalization and changes in working practices bring to the financial sector. For financial institutions, there is significant potential in using enterprise applications to optimize their processes and improve financial performance,” Švenda stated.
Beyond the Boardroom
Outside of work, Švenda enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and honing his technical skills. An avid Python programmer, he is continuously improving his AI/ML expertise and actively participates in the Numerai project, which leverages data science to predict stock market trends. A former pilot’s license holder, he has a diverse range of interests and hobbies.
