Prague, 14 September 2023 – At the end of 2022, Equa Bank, a modern, fee-free bank, successfully merged with Raiffeisenbank (RB), which has been operating in the Czech Republic since 1993. Ness Czech was proud to support this ambitious integration project, playing a pivotal role in the migration of data from Equa Bank to Raiffeisenbank’s information systems.
The Largest IT Project in Raiffeisenbank’s History
From an IT perspective, this merger marked the most complex and time-intensive project in Raiffeisenbank’s history. Teams from both banks, supported by Ness Czech’s expert staff, worked on the data migration and integration for over 18 months.
The merger brought nearly half a million Equa Bank clients under the Raiffeisenbank umbrella, solidifying RB’s position as a leading financial institution in the Czech market. “We are honored to have contributed to this unique and historic integration within the Czech banking sector,” said a representative from Ness Czech.
