Prague, 26 February 2024 – The Czech Office of Surveying and Cadastre (ČÚZK) has selected Ness Czech to provide support and development for three key information systems—RÚIAN (Register of Territorial Identification, Addresses, and Real Estate), ISÚI (Information System of Territorial Identification), and VDP (Public Remote Access). The partnership, set to run until 2027, continues a collaboration that began in 2009 when Ness implemented the original RÚIAN solution.
About the Systems
RÚIAN is one of the four core registers of public administration, handling over 5 million requests monthly. It contains authoritative (reference) territorial data, such as addresses, territorial elements, and special-purpose territorial units, and serves as a vital resource for public administration while excluding personal data.
ISÚI, a public administration agenda information system, enables updates to data stored in RÚIAN. Meanwhile, VDP provides free, unregistered public access to certain RÚIAN and ISÚI data, though reference data is available only through the Basic Registers Information System.
Enhancing System Quality and Functionality
Ness Czech’s efforts will focus on incorporating legislative updates, enhancing cyber security, and improving user experience for both internal and external stakeholders. New functionalities and services will be added, alongside the integration of special-purpose territorial elements such as soil-ecological units, nature and landscape protection zones, school districts, senate constituencies, and monument protection areas.
“We will focus on adapting these systems to align with the latest developments in information systems of public administration (ISVS) while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and evolving user needs,” said Vladimíra Žufanová, Director of the Informatics Department of the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
Long-Term Partnership
Since its initial engagement with ČÚZK in 2009, Ness Czech has been a trusted partner, providing ongoing development and operational support for these critical systems since 2014. “We are honored to continue supporting ČÚZK and look forward to building on the foundations we helped establish,” said Vítězslav Mačuda, Sales Representative at Ness Czech.
Commitment to Excellence
“Ness has been a dependable partner, but maintaining a successful relationship requires continuous commitment. I am confident Ness will continue to address ČÚZK’s needs with care, proactive solutions, and sufficient capacity,” said Radek Chromý, Vice-Chairman of ČÚZK.
