Prague, 10 November 2022 – Ness Czech, a leading system integrator and member of the global Ness Digital Engineering group, has successfully upgraded the service management and billing solution for O2 Czech Republic, a major telecommunications operator in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This enhanced solution now supports up to 10 million customers.
Comprehensive Service Billing and Management
The upgraded system enables seamless billing for a wide range of communication services, including:
- Voice calls, SMS/MMS, data services, and premium services like SMS tickets and parking fees.
- Management and configuration of services for virtual operators leveraging the O2 network.
The solution also supports spending limit management for premium services, ensuring compliance with customer preferences and operational requirements.
By authorizing service requests—such as call connections, SMS/MMS, or data transfers—in real time, the system ensures immediate credit deductions. Additionally, it can process offline transactions in exceptional cases, maintaining uninterrupted service.
Advanced Features
The configurable system offers advanced functionalities, including:
- Bundling of individual services into packages.
- Real-time credit and service evaluations.
- Automated notifications for customers regarding their service status.
The solution processes over 7 million transactions daily, underpinning the critical infrastructure of O2’s telecommunications services.

These upgrades simplify system architecture while reducing operational costs for O2.
