AllianceBernstein wanted to better manage, predict and minimize the cost of Azure cloud services. Ness was tasked with analyzing and re-evaluating the workload and cost structure across all environments to identify potential savings and provide consumption insights to better forecast future spend.
Ness analyzed monthly consumption, evaluated high-cost resources, and provided recommendations for optimizing VM size, AKS nodes, and SQL Server VMs based on usage metrics. Additionally, savings in Log Analytics and other opportunities such as Azure Hybrid Benefits (AHB) were identified.
Ness identified potential savings of up to 20% per month, created Power BI dashboards for better cost visibility, and recommended implementing budget alerts to track them on an ongoing basis.
