Our client has brought together global geoinformation technology companies. The company planned for further growth and expansion of its scope of services. They had the ambition to become a global market leader in innovative asset management solutions for utilities, telecommunications, government and infrastructure organizations.
Challenge
In order to remain competitive and become a trendsetter in their services, the client wanted to redesign all of their old desktop and monolithic products into a new and modern product portfolio. Ness helped with developing a cloud strategy, implementing the cloud, developing new modern products based on microservices, and creating all the conditions to deliver their products as SaaS.
Solution
Ness Digital Engineering has assembled a digital transformation team consisting of 11 professional consultants including a software architect, backend developers, frontend developers, scrum master and QA engineers. After a ramp-up period, we leveraged our two key accelerators, one being our cloud-based digital practice and the other being our Ness Matrix product.
With our expertise and experience, we delivered cloud strategy and consulting for Azure cloud implementation. We also created the working environment, established the nomenclature and set up the pipeline for the public sector, using tools such as Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and SonarQube. As part of the development, we created a Land Management product that includes a Microservices-based Admin Server, as well as a Network Locator product for the Utility domain. In addition, we have introduced an enhanced agile approach through the implementation of Ness Matrix.
Result
With the implementation of Matrix, we were able to improve delivery and increase productivity. The completion rate of user requests increased by 37%. Speed increased by 32%, and the maturity of SCRUM teams, which was measured and evaluated by the PO, increased by 30%.
As a result, we have established a long-term partnership and shared vision with our client, who is focused on how to develop and deliver all of their products as SaaS by 2026.
